CAVAN

How Does the Cavan (VIS) Website Work?

The ‘group/organisation’ wishing to access suitable volunteers registers its details on the Website. Once you register your organisation you will receive an email with more information and your password/key which will then allow you to post/upload the volunteer vacancy you have.

The ‘Volunteer’ can search the Website and see what vacancies are available in their area. If they are interested in a particular vacancy they apply on line (on the website) and an email is automatically sent to that organisation/group to let them know. The group then arranges to meet with the potential volunteer and it is their responsibility then to organise Garda vetting/reference checks if required.

In some cases were a volunteer is not computer literate or may need further assistance in identifying the area of work they are interested in then a consultation can be arranged with the Cavan VIS to help guide them towards a suitable placement.
